V2I Infrastructure Placement and Safety Implications of CAVs in an Interconnected Network
Since transportation is an interconnected system, local traffic adjustments will likely lead to broader impacts through traffic diversion. In this project, we will analyze the system-level safety implications considering dynamic decision-making processes of CAVs with V2I communication nodes based on network modeling and microscopic simulation.
