Iowa City Parks and Rec STEAM Festival

Iowa City Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Southeast Iowa STEM Hub and local STEAM organizations hosted the annual STEAM Festival on April 15th at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area. SAFER-SIM attended the festival, allowing participants to drive the portable simulator and to learn about distracted driving. 204 kids from the ages K-12 learned about the dangers of texting and driving.
